Is it a practice they usually do for every new generation coming?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Edit- "However, with Switch sales inevitably slowing down in the console's eighth year, some people are expecting/hoping Nintendo will give it a price cut for one final push and a shot at, maybe, breaking PS2's all-time console record, which stands at ∼155 million units versus Switch's 146 million at the time of writing." -NintendoLife

Wonder if they will announce a price drop for Switch 1 models.
Nintendo lowering prices, the list of jokes I've heard is now complete

I bet they reading out a list of future DMCA notices

Sony actually upped their claim a few months ago now saying the PS2 has sold an additional 5 million somehow.

Really? It would have been easier to just release a mini-PS2 console with some select games. I'm a massive PS2 fan, but at least the original numbers were as raw as possible. The PS2 earned its initial success, with tons of great devs contributing to its library. (Being a cost-effective DVD player didn't hurt.)

As for the Nintendo Direct, I think it's funny Nintendo has to keep putting the "no Switch 2 news" disclaimer on everything now.

A Direct? Right before the planned Switch 2 Direct?

Seems like Nintendo is still planning to release games for Switch 1 then, cool!
