After many rumours floating around online of a plausible Direct coming in September, this has finally been confirmed by Nintendo themselves in an official announcement through their social media accounts, and this time, it will be a main Nintendo stream instead of an indie or partner showcase.

The Nintendo Direct will air on September 12th, 2025, at 6am PT / 8am Central Time / 9am ET, and will be around an hour long focusing on both Switch 1 and Switch 2 games:

Be sure to catch up the stream and see what Nintendo might hold for players and their Switch 2 hardware.
What are you looking up for this Direct? Besides Metroid Prime 4's release date.

What's red viper
Was wondering that too.

Oh offt for the 3ds sounds like excessive worrying
Then again it is Nintendo so

The Virtual Boy announcement is really questionable. I don't quite understand why they would be glorifying a system that gave people headaches and eye strain. That would be like The Pokémon Company celebrating the anniversary of the Porygon anime episode that gave kids seizures by putting it on Youtube.

Also, how can they dripfeed Virtual Boy games on the service when only 20 or so games came out for it in the first place? How can they make this, of all systems, exclusive to the Expansion Pack as if it's a premium feature? How can they make an announcement like this, with a straight face, and not even a hint of irony or self-deprecation?

Nintendo's been tone-deaf before, but damn. This one blows my mind.
