Lame. Like WTF. Why do you need to sue? It's not like you are losing money.

Oh lol, now it's Nintendo's turn, they should just pay it, 21 millions is not that much for them. And MS and Sony are already paying, so I'd think it's safe to assume that Anascape has the reason.

perhaps this will bring more attention to the European market, as it is the second largest after America.

Hmm, this leaves a lot of VC games in a bad way, now there's absolutely no way to play a lot of SNES games, all N64 games, and any potential WiiWare games. Also, aren't there some Wii games whose primary focus is on the GC and Classic Controller setups? (I'm looking at you, Guilty Gear).

Also, now, any and all GC compatibility is down the drain for future generations. Thanks a fucking bunch!

No, they just have to pay patent fees/rights -not sure what the appropriate term is- and that's it, they keep making controllers, selling them and making money *a little bit less, yes*.

If the GC controller violated the patent, Anascape should have filed ages ago. Because they didn't, they're patent trolls looking for money in my eyes.

Like I wanted to post on GSpot...:

Didn't this happen with the PS2's DualShock2 a few years ago? And weren't they still being sold during all of the legal proceedings?

Well, I mean, I guess I have illegal software, I suppose illegal hardware is only fitting, right?

I call shenanigans. I mean, as stated before, if this lawsuit covers as far back as the Gamecube, why NOW cry foul? Someone's looking to make some fast money. Settling is probably exactly what these people are after since that guarantees them money with no effort, whereas a long, drawn-out court battle could leave them with only a lawyer's bill.

They really need to make it so if you don't file a claim within a year of a products creation you can't do shit even with a patent, filing years later for a product is just ridiculous.

Oh please. Stop fretting, if any of Nintendo's controllers actually get banned I will eat my hat, and it's a sweet hat.
