Hacking Nintendo Ban Wave?

He was probably to say you would not be banned if you only did those following things.

I was already perma-banned once for abusing Miiverse and the Nintendo Network service with the 002-2812 error.
I also broke almost every advice to be banned and today I'm unbanned and I still go on AND
I'm not banished. Right now I'm on the Super Smash server and until now I had the "SendInfo to Nintendo" enabled.

Edit: When I was permaban, I remember calling Nintendo for the reason for banning the console and the answer was that I had hacked games and used illegal methods.

I've read the whole thread but couldn't find any clear statement.

I can confirm that I'd been banned while on 11.2.

The reason I kept my 3DS at that version was at the time, NTR streaming wasn't working in the latest version.

Like I posted on the other thread:

Code 002-0102, running LumaCFW 11.4 with A9LH, I downloaded through freeshop SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked, SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, and all three Virtual Console Pokemon games, and been playing SMT 1 and 2 and Yellow, only thing I can remember doing online-ish (if it even does that) was checking some pokemon to transfer from Yellow to my legit cart of Pokemon Moon through Poke Transporter), other than that I didn't access any online functionalities (afaik, since nothing aside from Poke Transporter asked me to go online).

EDIT: Forgot to add, can't access friends, can access eshop, can access miiverse too, tried clicking on a bunch of stuff, didn't get any error code.

I have a theory; perhaps it is determined by how you got to cfw in the first place and the order in which ofw were accessed to complete downgrade. For example, I never had to downgrade to get cfw.

Maybe do a poll based on downgrade/cfw methods and who was affected? Perhaps Nin can run a report on downgrades

If it was something to do with downgrades to get cfw, then at least I hope it's temporary. I'm really digging the theory that Nintendo issued the ban wave because of B9S. I mean, it launched not too long ago, it seems too good a timing to not be related. I'll be waiting to see if this blows over to update my A9LH to B9S.

Mostly a forum lurker here but i would like to share that i'm not banned yet, i can access my friend list and play online just fine (for now).

2DS 11.3, boot9strap+Luma 7.1.

I got my 2DS in March and installed a9lh using the 3DS Guide webiste (the downgrade method) and used the same guide to update to boot9strap a few days ago.

Homebrew apps on my home menu are Homebrew Launcher, Luma Updater and Freeshop.

Only games i play online is Mario Kart 7 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (i own Generations but i haven't played that one online yet) however they are all legit games (MK7 is bundle from console and MH games are all cart). I don't think i have a Nintendo Account, if it's something that requires registration like e-mail address and password then i'm sure i don't have one.

I do however have tons of stuff downloaded from Freeshop and .CIA games from... elsewhere... but i haven't played online with anything downloaded from Freeshop or elsewhere yet, i was planning to but i think i'll pass now heh
That options to share information with Nintendo is disabled in System Settings by the way.

I guess that if the main reason of these bans is the Online access, it might be time to try to figure out how to get the 3DS to connect to a private network server, for just CFW users, just a idea, and yes, I know implementing that, is hard as hell.

Hi everyone

I have a USA new3ds with LumaCFW 11.4 with A9LH and its not banned. I have several games from freeshop, that iso site, and I play a lot online, most recently with Monster Hunter XX (which is japanese). My 3ds was downgrade in order to get CFW. When i heard in a whatsapp group about the ban wave, about 10 hours ago, i played mario kart 7 online just to make sure if my 3ds was banned, but fortunately not. I just returned from work and again play mario kart 7 online and still not banned. I just disabled the wifi connection until more posts.

Well of course, actually I doubt there is another possibly reason for it.

The main issue is, what part of online access triggered it? Have they finally found a way of seeing if someone is downloading stuff from Freeshop? Was (in my case) checking if I could transfer Pokemon from my Pokemon Yellow downloaded game to my legit Pokemon Moon (since I had to connect online for Poke Transporter to do stuff)? Aside from installing CFW, I didn't really do anything else.

I'm also interested in more reports on whether this is a temp or a perma ban too. I tried calling, but my call didn't go through, and it'll be a while until I can call again (at least without paying for the call). On that note:

God this is going to be a whirlwind of misinformation. I never ever played a Fire Emblem game, let alone this Echoes thing. Called Nintendo yesterday about this as it was handed to me Monday night, they said "unauthorized software" usage, it's 002-0102, I hack Pokemon, but I've done that everyday for years now and that necessarily hasn't gotten me banned. So it's not just Pokemon or Fire Emblem, there's something more to it. They told me it's temporary too.

Did you have to give them any information about your case, or did you ask generally about the ban wave and got told that? I'm asking because you might have been banned for a different reason, and it could have been more specifically about you.

Im on 11.3. with streed disabled and sharing for experience enabled. Didnt play for 4 week now tried and not banned. LOL

I can't update luma it keeps saying download failed. Does this have anything to do with the bans?

I got banned. I was trying to connect online in game and it said 002-0102. It's my console with NNID. eShop still works and so does friends list. One without NNID can go online and friend list works fine. At least so far.

I do hack my saves massively on both consoles, play undubs, and have game mods like no outline.

Odd i cant use friends list. (i have a nnid linked)
