    Did you try opening it with compatibility mode set to a previous Windows version?

    Set it to compatibility mode. Fixed the issue for me and others. :)
    It's not the greatest solution, but Project64 works flawlessly after changing the compatibility mode.

    Right click the exe->Properties->Compatibility tab.
    Set it to Windows 7 or Windows 8, both will work I believe.

    Good job, you might have made the first tredecuple post in the history of GBAtemp.
    You know there's an edit button right? Use it.
    All I can suggest is to try another video plugin. Glide64, Rice or GLideN64 are good ones. I never use Jabo's anymore.

    Haha. Well, if your PC is powerful enough to run it, GLideN64 seems to be the best right now (it's the only one still in development and fixed many issues other plugins had), you can find that here: https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64/releases
    For example, it supports the alpha dithering effect the invincibility hat in Mario 64 uses. Not a big deal, but it actually looks the way it's supposed to now instead of just making Mario transparent.
    It does require a lot more powerful hardware than other plugins though.
