Nintendo 64 emulator on windows 10

Hallo everybody, is there a specific project 64 build which works on windows 10? last time i downloaded the latest build i couldn't go into full screen. Or maybe you guys can recommend me another good n64 emulator which works on windows 10?

no i already deleted the emulator long time ago, i was just so excited to try it one more time cause i wanna play the good old games on pc

Doesnt alt+enter force it to go fullscreen? Or is that what you tried... i didnt even know there was another way.

Set it to compatibility mode. Fixed the issue for me and others.
It's not the greatest solution, but Project64 works flawlessly after changing the compatibility mode.

Right click the exe->Properties->Compatibility tab.
Set it to Windows 7 or Windows 8, both will work I believe.

that doesn't work, if i force it to go full screen with alt + enter i get the following message with a black screen: change window exception and after closing the exe another message pops up

Might be something with your driver.. or something, can you post screensots of the errors?

definitely not the drivers, cause i am always up to date and every other emulator like dolphin jnes pcsx2 etc. work like a charm, of course i will show you a screenshot of the problem

i always have trouble with uploading screenshots, once it's working and then the other time it says: the file is to big even tho the file is as big as before smh....

looks like a directx error... but windows 10 should work with it fine... i'm downloading it now and ill try it, see if it works or not

All I can suggest is to try another video plugin. Glide64, Rice or GLideN64 are good ones. I never use Jabo's anymore.

thanks man, it works with the glide64 plugin, finally i can play goemon and super mario 64, i always had to throw up when i was 6 years old and played super mario 64 cause everything looked to realistic for me back then and i was scared of the monsters in there lol

but its ok anyway now, i can play super mario 64 and throw up yay

thanks man, it works with the glide64 plugin, finally i can play goemon and super mario 64, i always had to throw up when i was 6 years old and played super mario 64 cause everything looked to realistic for me back then and i was scared of the monsters in there lol

Haha. Well, if your PC is powerful enough to run it, GLideN64 seems to be the best right now (it's the only one still in development and fixed many issues other plugins had), you can find that here: https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64/releases
For example, it supports the alpha dithering effect the invincibility hat in Mario 64 uses. Not a big deal, but it actually looks the way it's supposed to now instead of just making Mario transparent.
It does require a lot more powerful hardware than other plugins though.
