Gaming Nintendo 3DS software transfer

I bought a 3DS XL bundled with a pre-installed digital version of Mario Kart 7.

I have a 3DS system, and I did a System Transfer to the 3DS XL. Now the 3DS XL has all the data of the 3DS, plus Mario Kart 7 the digital version.

My problem is...I intended for the Mario Kart 7 Digital version to be transferred to the regular 3DS, because I am selling it to a friend and giving him the Digital Mario kart (I already own it in cartridge form).

Can anyone help me?

once you have activated a e-shop account on a 3DS system it is locked to that account

there is a tool in the works for the e-shop that can take the save from a cartridge and transfer for internally stored games but it has not been released by Nintendo yet

Pong20302000 is correct, the two eshop accounts are merged into the new system. The old system always gets a complete reset, they are never swapped.
