What do you think about this "hack"?

I mentioned this in another thread, but Nintendo got all the information they needed from the initial announcement. A game save exploit and a hacked crash screen. They went back and looked at any permissions the 3DS has while playing games and found where a game running would be able to get kernel access. Nintendo likely patched the hole by changing permissions for 3DS games or the crash screen, which could have been running in kernel mode(something like leaving the keys in the engine of a car.) The architecture is closer to a computer than the DS line of systems so they have the capability to fix these things. They can still use the save game hack to run code, but they no longer have kernel access.
It's not that simple. And there will be more kernel exploits.

what kind of car do you have that the keys go in the engine itself? mine go in the ignition ;)

kidding aside, while its inconvenient that they patched THAT exploit, they weren't able to patch the gamesave exploit itself. there is still a vector into the system. more kernel exploits will be found with time. also, there are still alot of exploitable systems out there right now, and anyone who wants to avoid an update can do so easily enough.

Well,i might have a question about that.
What about DSi features and region lock ? If i remember, the japanese DSi cards doesn't work on PAL 3DS. Not sure, but when Pokémon B/W (2) came out,the same question was already asked.

A joke.

It went from 70% to 72% one time during a blue moon, ever since, it's been a meme quality laugh.

i hope its not going to be a game i want to get when i get my 3ds xl this summer(like Zelda OOT), because it will become hard to find and become very expensive, like Zelda TP for the Wii when the save exploit for that game was found

One example of a bootleg cart. It's a fake game cart, it does not run ROMs.

Chances are they decided to not even try to sell it because they'd pretty much be selling a single cheap 3DS game and realized people don't want that.
