I'm not denying it has some nice little additions, but none of it outweighs the GBA game library. No idea why they dropped the slot...

The slot doesn't fit into the DSi (I read it in an interview) and the DSi isn't powerful enough to emulate every GBA game.
I still have my DSTWO for GBA emulation.

I haven't posted it yet. It might either be at "thtg.blogspot.com" (which I just made yesterday), or I might just make a totally different blog and just post all of the info there, but take out all of the useless crap and clarify some things. I didn't really know that people were so confused. I honestly thought everyone knew the hack involved the sd card and that it works with the latest version and will continue to do so until it is released and Nintendo can patch it.

The reason I ask is because fire emblem isn't out yet and I don't know if it firmware updates to a "future" update. What is considered the latest version, I haven't updated(or used it) since Resident evil Revelations?

It's fine, update all you want, just keep an eye out for the release of the hack. Once it's released, check out the update logs to see if it gets patched

The TL/DR
A save exploit hack was found. It uses a retail cartridge and save hacking tools. They are already running code with it but will not release any other info (including the name of the retail game) to the public until they have something to share. Updating is safe because Nintendo hasn't found it and pretty much can't until the hack is released. (Feel free to put this in the OP as a one line summary.)

The rest of the thread is speculation, script kiddies begging for or demanding the hack, and debating piracy.

The 3DS wasn't hacked yet, it has got a tight security around it.
Don't ask for damn roms on your 3DS.
If you made an GBATemp account JUST to ask if the 3DS was hacked or not because you are too lazy to buy games then please don't make an account.

Let's face it. Half the time these people do not contribute constructively but clutter the forums by asking the same question over and over. I would rather have them observe silently and only create an account when there is something important to say. The pokeflood is one of the best examples.

New Zealand is part of the continent "Zealandia" which can be considered a part of Oceania (Australia is a part of this as well). The hack only works with the EUR/USA versions of the games according to the devs, so he's right. He won't be able to hack his 3DS unless the devs get he Australia version as well. (I'm assuming Australia and New Zealand have the same region coding since they're so close).

AFAIK Aus follows Eur. Not sure about NZ though.
