Hmm, I'm not really certain about this. I got a message about this ambassador program, but I dont remember the contents of it. I can't check it either, because I'm on holliday, and I don't have my 3DS with me. Ah well, we'll see when I get home.

Go to eShop and scroll left to find "News" section, there you'll find Nintendo Ambassador Program article, click on it, the top part will say "You are part of the Ambassador Program". That's your confirmation right there.

I've already confirmed yesterday, that's not on the European E-shop, only USA

If you have visited the eshop already then you are in the ambassador program.
If you fail to visit the eshop before then end of August 11, then you will not be.

How is that difficult to understand?

People just worried for not getting any confirmation straight away.
Cant blame them

. Nintendo should have sent out confirmation messages straight away.

Also, the Nintendo of America sounded a bit confusing. They said "ON 11th August" when they mentioned the GBA games. Where as, in europe's site, it was clearly stated BY 11th august.

On Nintendo.co.uk it says - These free games are available to anyone who owns a Nintendo 3DS system and uses a wireless broadband Internet signal to connect to the Nintendo eShop at least once before 23:59 pm (Central European Time) on August 11th. These Nintendo 3DS systems will be automatically registered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador programme.

I don't see anywhere that we need to get the news message, furthermore nobody in Europe has so it's probably no problem. A media shit storm is the last thing Nintendo needs so they'll get it right.

I received a mail from nintendo.be and they told me that you are in by just connecting to the Nintendo eShop. So we won't get a notification.

Any type of confirmation - even getting an email through my 'Nintendo VIP' account - would be nice...
.... this way we have 'proof' that we're are entitled to the downloads, & if we don't THEN we can start complaining to Nintendo for the f**k up

Yep. Just to confirm - no notification in European systems (could you update the news on the home page?)

And you need to connect to eShop before 23:59 CET. (which means Central European Time, which is UTC+01:00 so equal to British Summer Time - so in UK and Portugal you need to connect before 23:59, in the continental Europe before 0:59 on 12/08/2011, Greece & Finland etc. before 1:59 on 12/08/2011 and so on)

I've just been onto the [EU] eShop & the 'Ambassador' video has now been removed (time now is 8:35pm in the UK)
