and that 512MB cart size is impressive... i hope it's because of LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of Ghibli animated movie sequences....

I'd take more game length over a few 1-2 minute FMVs any day.

cut the size in half, 256mb each, and you'd still have more than enough room on one side for an EPIC game. and i do hope this game has proportions that big, which that other half filled with FMVs will make it so much sweeter. and knowing Ghibli, they'd probably intersperse the game with lots of vanilla FMVs to set the stage for new locations, as well as big storyline FMV sequences.

Man some mother fracker better localize this M A S T E R P I E C E when it comes out! Or maybe its too early to judge? who cares. this game trailer already passes my test for a must have play ENGLISH ds game. WOOOOOOOOOOOT bring up the HYPEEEE

Yeah. This game is an absolute masterpiece, especially since Studio Ghibli possibly made all the graphics (what other companies make such great graphics?!)

You do realize what you just said, don't you?
If this indeed has an expansive world and all the things we've seen then it can be assumed it would naturally flow over 256 without the FMVs, I'd prefer them to fill any remaining space (after obligatory opening/closing FMVs, of course) with more game content/story than FMVs. Filesize-wise, game content gives you more game content than FMVs.

Level 5 has many DS titles...Inazuma Eleven etc. But not many of them are localised except for Layton. I doubt this would be released in U.S. either.

Interesting thing is, I would assume that this would be hard to pirate, considering that there is a spell book that comes with the game. Though I am not sure if it is needed to play the game thoroughly, or even game-breaking.

But I would certainly buy the game. Been hyped since it was brought to my attention by elixir.

man, Studio Ghibli are storytellers, aside from being animators. of course they're bound to flaunt their animating prowess by gracing this title with insane amounts of clips. oh yeah, and i just got a hold of the demo recently, and for the most part, it seems to be almost fully voiced-over (very few dialogues are unvoiced, and they're mostly generic NPC lines), and the voices are crystal-clear with great volume, not muddled and weak like Disgaea DS and Infinite Space. that should also account for a big chunk of the file size.

anyhoo, it just shows you'd prefer they fill it all with game, but me being a Ghibli fan, i wouldn't mind if they fill it brimming with animated clips. but i'm pretty sure they'll find a good balance somewhere. i'm all for good gameplay, but in this particular title, I'M ALL FOR THE STORY, and i hope they go the cinematic way with their storytelling, kinda like an interactive movie. expect a linear storyline though, if they do go cinematic.
