Gaming Next Pokémon remakes?

So going with past trends in the series and current speculation it looks like R/S/E will be the next remakes, but who would rather see Colosseum/XD remakes on the 3DS instead?

I think the trumpet reference is towards how trumpets were featured in many of the games' songs, such as the wild pokemon theme and versus trainer themes.

I don't see any reason to remake Colosseum/XD, as they're not technically part of the main series and are quite limited gameplay-wise. So...

I know there's no technical reason for a Gen 3 remake, but who cares if I can already get Gen 3 Pokémon?

Should Super Mario Sunshine not get a remake because Piantas were already in Super Mario Galaxy 2?

There doesn't have to be a valid reason for a remake; all that is required is the demand for it.

Over all I wasn't such a fan of RSE

As a kid I quit pokemon right before they came out, and got back into Pokémon when Pearl came out. That's either quitting or skipping a generation >_<

The only way that would happen would be if Nintendo make it a trend to remake all of the special edition releases after they've remade all of the core games to save doing remakes of remakes; i.e. after a R/S and P/D remake we see a yellow and crystal remake instead of a FR/LG and HG/SS remake.
