Hacking Newbie question

I just received my cyclods a couple of days ago but I can't seem to get the thing to work. I loaded a couple of saved games into a Games folder I've created on the micro sd card and inserted it into the cyclo cart and into my DS. Everything boots up fine but when I go to open the Games folder the files do not show. I've read in the forums that the files have to be in a .NDS file. How do I do that? Is it just a matter of renaming the .sav to .nds? I've also read that I need both a .sav and a .nds file of the same game....do I load the game twice...with two different file extensions? Can someone please help...or at least point me in the right direction.

I ordered the CycloDS from Divineo...the damn thing came in a bubble-wrap envelope...no tin or card-reader and no instructions.....Thanks in advance for any help....

You seem to have confused "saved games" as ROMs.

Saved games (.sav) are just that, save files of games.
ROMs (nds ROMs being .nds) are what you want. Do not ask where to find them here though.
