Dang it uses American Wasteland and it went up in price ever since the first exploit came out, its Cubic Ninja all over again.

Yeah. Once he has read everyone else's news articles on the subject and watched a few videos, he'll regurgitate it for his followers. A shame that they rely of him, of all people, for such news when he is actually pretty clueless about the subject.I hope MVG will cover this.
Theoretically running backups should work. Aurora should definitely boot.I'm curious if after doing this exploit, can you run unsigned executable like Aurora.xbe and then play "backups". I'm sure eventually someone will create a workaround using this, still pretty cool.
Meh, he's decent. He def wouldn't be the first choice when i want to check something. MrMario however is much more involved with the 360, and has been modding consoles & on the 360 scene for more than a decade, plus he's a genuinely cool dude. so yea, MVG gets more views mostly from casuals covering a variety of topics without going that much in depth of course..Yeah. Shit. Now I need to dig out my 360.Good news everyone, there is a new exploit in development for a DRM free game, which everyone can run for free from a USB stick, to trigger the BadUpdate HV exploit.

So no need to use Tony Hawk's American Wasteland anymore.
I don't remember RB Blitz being DRM-free, unless they're using the demo version?Good news everyone, there is a new exploit in development for a DRM free game, which everyone can run for free from a USB stick, to trigger the BadUpdate HV exploit.

Yep their post mentions that it's the trial version.I don't remember RB Blitz being DRM-free, unless they're using the demo version?

And to think that I've ordered a Tony Hawk's American Wasteland a few hours earlier.Good news everyone, there is a new exploit in development for a DRM free game, which everyone can run for free from a USB stick, to trigger the BadUpdate HV exploit.

Never in a million year i would have thought a Rock Band game would be used as an entry point for an exploit.Good news everyone, there is a new exploit in development for a DRM free game, which everyone can run for free from a USB stick, to trigger the BadUpdate HV exploit.

Is that boot time to whatever e69 is a real boot time to exploit, basically 8 second boot time beats 20 minutes.Good news everyone, there is a new exploit in development for a DRM free game, which everyone can run for free from a USB stick, to trigger the BadUpdate HV exploit.

Yeah, he ported quite a few things to the original Xbox. He ported Outrun to the Switch as well. He also does work for Nightdive Studios.Wasn't he part of the old Xbox scene? And isn't he a coder with emulation dev background ?
As far as I know he's the real deal.
(I do enjoy most of his content and the fact he's an advocate for videogame preservation)

It's the crash of the game that you see.Is that boot time to whatever e69 is a real boot time to exploit, basically 8 second boot time beats 20 minutes.
If not I was thinking that to soft mode consoles with a flashable drive, first flash the drive to boot DVD9 and making a disc would be cheapest. Unless the drive that needs flashing needs some special mod. I was able to flash a Phat drive with just a long sata cable and power the drive using an xbox 360.
