I don't know if this is the case. someone mentioned that you aren't able to launch games that require downloading the full game again I think (Ironfall 1.2 being one of them).

Hmm. Well all I know is that Triforce Heroes works fine without loading the 2.1 patch.

Hmm. Well all I know is that Triforce Heroes works fine without loading the 2.1 patch.

Tri-Force Heroes is a game card game so it has separate update data. I did the same with MK7.

I might use that "old ironfall downloader" to download an older version of a game (the binding of isaac updates the base game for example), go to 10.4, and see if it still runs.

What if Nintendo made the update remove all .3dsx files off the sd card at boot?

That is a waste of time because we could easily just rename the file extension and edit our existing code to read these new file extensions instead.

What if 10.5 comes out, and the 3DS won't let you boot any apps unless you update?

Wouldn't be far fetched if they mandate certain apps to be updated before continuing.

Are you sure you're not switching from sysnand to emunand? What version do you have currently installed? That seems a little random.
