Mostly sure if Nintendo patched it again. It's confirmed browserhax to be patched, and they also updated home menu, so almost sure it's patched.

You haven't even given them a chance to build a new *hax yet.
Whenever home menu changes, they have to move rop offsets and rebuild.

I have heard they fixed new3ds browserhax.

Are there any precautions I should take to avoid updating sysnand by accident? Will this force me to update or am I ok for now, well as long as I dont press A on the main menu when the prompt to update comes up?

Took the plunge on a hax'd New 3DS XL to try, you can't launch games that aren't on their latest versions, meaning Ironhax is killed.

use coldboot to boot into emunand directly , then you will never have chance to comfirm update on sysnand.
