So, it looks like the Zeebo has finally got an open-source emulator with a good game compatibility rate.

The emulator aims to deliver an experience as close as possible to the actual console, while there are still some graphical glitches, audio issues, and compatibility problems, the project is quite impressive, it even supports Wii Remotes to emulate the Boomerang controller and includes online support.

Considering what a truly obscure console the Zeebo is, it’s quite impressive to see this, it ends up being great for preservation.

Co-developer here. Release v0.20 dropped.

I'm also doing an study as a fork of another emulator called Zeebulator. It's all HLE'd.
So there's also a tryout for some LLE through booting Linux and some weird OSes.

Never knew this console existed.
So in a nutshell it was designed to bring games known from mobile phones on the big screen as digital only.
Kind of what Ouya tried but with more specific/exclusive ports and controllers.
Pretty cool that Wiimotes are supported as well.
The only question is where to get the games for this.
Can't remember seeing any romsets among the usual no intro sources. But I'm not asking for it here, don't worry. :D

Thanks for the emulator. I bookmarked it in my Steam Deck notes.

Yeah, the console has a few things worth checking out.

Its exclusive Double Dragon remake is excellent and easily one of the best versions of the game ever released (though the emulator apparently still has some sound issues with it).

For a while, it boasted some of the best ports of Quake 1 and 2 because they were direct ports of the PC versions—they even supported some mods. (Unfortunately, the emulator still has some performance issues with these games.)

Um Jogo de Ovos, despite its silly name, is a really fun 2D platformer, especially in co-op multiplayer.

Zeebo FC Super League is a great game for fans of titles like Super Mario Strikers it’s actually one of the few games on the console to utilize "Zeeboids" (basically Zeebo's version of Miis, but with extra features like online rankings and achievements tied to each Zeeboid, back then, you could even level up your Zeeboid across different games and keep your progress).

Zeebo Sports offers a solid collection of mini-games for fans of titles like *Wii Sports*, and it’s also a great way to test out the Zeebo's motion controls.

Despite sharing similar concepts, I find the Zeebo much more interesting than the Ouya, even though it used mobile hardware and a limited OS, TecToy really made an effort to create something different and unique with what they had.

I highly recommend watching the video from the Stop Skeletons from Fighting channel or following the Zeebo Stuff page on Twitter to learn more about the console, it's worth checking out.
