Hacking New System Menu Update 4.3

When I was on System Menu 4.2U I had Visual Boy Advance GX and USB Loader GX and I ran the update (b4 4.3 was ever released) and ran USB Loader GX and Visual Boy Advance GX they worked fine w/ the stubbed IOS249

Emulators and normal Homebrew don't need custom IOSes. Only exception might be the cIOS installed to IOS 202 for some additional features.

Namely USB 2.0 and DVD-Support (if you don't have a D-Whatever Drive). And Ninty didn't bother with this IOS yet, which is great (WiiMC FTW!).

Doesn't brick jack. Unless you're incredibly unlucky with a boot2 update or something.

I meant as the base boot2 to make cBoot2.

EDIT: Also if it can then that would mean no more having to grab a boot2 wad off of an update partition, just run the installer and it's done.

And TBR won't work with the new IOS's so it won't be any use on a virgin 4.3 wii even when the hackmii installer is fixed to work with this system menu.

Sorry I misunderstood your original post. I agree that it would be worth seeing if cboot2 could be modified so that you can compile it using boot2v4 and not v2 because you could just download it from NUS.

On the other hand, as soon as the new hackmii installer is released, someone will just set up an email address that will send you a compiled version of cboot2.

until some dumb child comes in with a game with update 4.3 puts it in your wii clicks update and BAMMM! you just lost a softmod...

There never was a v4123 of ios53

Indiana Pwns can be fixed the same way Zelda was...validating the save data when the menu boots, and deleting it if it's an exploit.

Why they haven't bothered? Don't know.

They haven't bothered because no one uses it because bannerbomb was always there.
Now with bannerbomb gone i bet the next update whenever it is will address the indiana pwns hack.
