I think you mean 4.1 since 4.2 is still in beta.

If you have your SHSH blobs for 3.1.2 saved you cna downgrade to it then make a custom IPSW to restore to on your device. but if you don't have the blobs you cannot

mine came on 3.1.3 which i jailbroke using spirit.then i upgraded and used jailbreakme to jailbreak 4.0...Shater please be untethered and please come soon nice news for people with blobs....i pushed the wrong button when i opened cydia.

i hate tethered but if i update to this, will it update my bootrom too? i was wondering because i am not knowledgeable at all about SHAtter and i suspect that i may need to have a certain version bootrom for it to work once it comes out but i really want to get game center on my 8gb MC model

SHAtter will be tethered but they may be able to make a cydia patch that will fix that with every firmware update
