Hacking new shop channel help

im currently on 4.0u and would like to update the shop channel but not the wii

now could I just use a V18 shop channel wad and install that and everything will work?

yeah that should work and you might also need the updated IOS61 but not sure, just use NUS to DL them and pack them into WAD and use wadmanger to install them

Marcmax's updated Wii Shop and IOS61 installer allows you to install the Shop Channel v18. The download link can be found here.

ok I just updated my homebrew channel from 1,03 to 1.06.
now should I install the IOS61-64-v4890.wad then install the v18 shop channel and reinstall my HBC?
also by installing the IOS61-64-v4890.wad will this fix my upside down homebrew?
can I reinstall cios36 wad to have corps working again?


Im on 4.0u with HBC 1.06/preloader 0.29/cios14/bootmii as ios

I had some issues with the latest hackmii package... Did you update your hbc via wifi?
I'm also installing the new shop channel ^.^

yes I did update the HBC wifi to 1.06 but I had cios corps installed.
used wad manager to install IOS36-64-v1042.wad then installed the HBC
but should I have used wad manager to install IOS61-64-v4890.wad then install HBC then install the shop channel updater?
