Now someone needs to get a Metroid game and rebuild the original SMB with Samus in it.
(Kinda like the guy did with Mari0)
I present to you Super Mario Crossover: http://jayisgames.com/games/super-mario-bros-crossover-2/ (If that is what you mean)

Ooh, the timer I set six months ago after luckwii's last post just went off. Hoping for an update! Or, really, I'm hoping that luckwii isn't dead.

Super Mario Crossover is great. Another good one if you haven't seen it, though it doesn't feature any Metroid elements, is Mari0. Think original SMB with multiplayer and Portal guns. http://stabyourself.net/mari0/

No, he definitely is not dead :)

Well, I'm glad to hear it, and not just because I'm looking forward to New Metroid Bros!

I'm trying to post more, because I'm a huge lurker--visit the site almost daily but post maybe twice a year on average--so I haven't mentioned it, SKJmin, but NSMB3 kicks all the asses. And now, if I post again this year, I guess I'll stay on topic.

He will definetely come back, don't worry! He is just busy in rea life! Sorry can't say more due to privacy :)
To my hack: The funny thing is, it took me "only" 3 months to create the WHOLE game [excluding beta testing and additional editing] :D

You guys can be sure that this project got cancelled!
Even I [beta tester] haven't seen him for a LONG LONG time...

Don't expect a newer revision of this...
I just hope he isn't dead or something :S

Damn damn damn!!!
Terrible news. I had such high hopes for completion.
Could you tell us how complete this "final" release is?
Another great one bites the dust. Sad, sad news. ;(

Thought so. This was supposedly almost finished back when Clone Tag Team was in World 2 stage. It seems that absolutely no progress has been made since then and now, when I'm working on World 2 of Clone Tag Team's sequel right now...

I can only say that it was finished to 95%... I was testing it...
He suddenly dissapeared... I know the latest thing he said was a corruption of the rom through a newer revision of the editor, but i don't know much more about this.
He had experimented A LOT with the editor, the most switch/tile expansion were found by him in the first line...

Maybe he'll return back someday, but I don't think so...

So....erm......any of the beta testers care to release the last update made for it?

Sorry, but that's not a good idea!
Why not? Because of some NSMB hackers, they steal the content and say they made it on theyself...
It has some very unique content, not released by anybody yet!
You can't trust anybody nowadays :(

I'm not quite following the logic here. Isn't this a problem with any hack release? I don't really see the problem as long as luckwii gets the proper credit for the release. If the beta is in a playable state, I'm sure that what he would have wanted, no?

You don't understand the logic behind my words, because it wasn't you who made the game ;)

However, let's say I'm gonna release the beta, what then?
What when LuckWii comes back and sees his beta online?
