You can found new game every day
you can check here -> http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=releases

So we can work on one and only upgrade every month,
or work and offer one upgrabe every time is possible to do one!

What do you prefer?

Dont forget, hackers who working on, are like you and me, simple people
who can do that only on their free time...

So you have two choices, wait or do it yourself!

Someone said World of Zoo (E) (or possibly (U)) has been broken from previous releases but I haven't personally tested this. The trouble is that no one is prepared to download and boot every single (E) and (U) ROM to discover exactly how many fuck-ups have been made. I'm sure people will report them as and when they find them.

The main problem is that every time you announce an 'update' people automatically assume the new games such as Sonic and Pokemon are now fixed and get belligerent when they discover they have been misled even if that was not your intention.
EDIT: The next post demonstrates this point perfectly.

In future you should ask your sources what games are supposed to be fixed in each new release, test them yourself and then only report here if something REALLY has been fixed. If not you just waste time for a lot of people.

if they do a new upgrade is for them (japanese or chinese game) or for us (euro and US game)...

We are not here to criticize, we are here to help them by testing...

But im agree with you, i would like to have the complete game list for each files (Extinfo, savlib, infolib)
you can check, i asked for that, a long time ago in the topic from denieru7

I spoke to one of the hackers who work on these upgrades,
for obtain, in the futur, the list of game added

Indeed, but no one wants to test every game ever. All your releases have been very much like this -

QUOTESome games may or may not have been fixed. Try every game from 0001 to 4795 and let's see what happens.

If your sources can give us a list of the games allegedly fixed with each release then people can and will gladly test those specific games. Let's stop this being a big guessing game.

I have, at least, the third choice : Sell the card and buy another one.

Will do it a few days later.

The guessing game is equally horrible because every thread created about these updates starts with "All games until number "4789" (many Euro & US games inside)."

Option 3 seems to be the best bet, TeenTin. I've already done it and silently praying that when this cart is termed dead by some hackers with an ego they don't move on and ruin my new card's firmware.

Its not really matter of saying older games got screwed because you could have 2 sd's with 2 kernels but i think what should be a useful content is to really update the extinfo.dat to work with the greatest games not just to fix the minor threaths and release a new one every week , then it will be better work hard on the things the matter for the most i think *i can be wrong* but the smaller games the ones that many people would not play are easier to fix than the great releases
So concetreating on the the games that matter for the most and then the smaller ones would be a better work
It's not like a complain , I really appreciate the work that was made for the infolib and savlib but the extinfo is turning into a update almost useless with that isnt related to the games that people are wishing to play
I really would like to understand how those things work im going to search about it may i could help by some way

Im starting to think that infolib.dat is not only a speedup of the rom loading times , but also a game booter

The infolib tells ROMs how to boot the most efficiently. If the information is fucked up they boot incorrectly or not at all.

You can this list, you just need to edit each of the 3 files, and you will see,
but it will take a looooong time to know the game inside with only the code of each game

We need a simple software to read the code inside and make a list with all game title

it is possible, but who will do this software ?!

people will not test all games for every upgrade,
just try game and report when the game dont work
(im not talking about testers club)

And you tell us what games are supposedly fixed with each update then we can test those specific games.

I may as well be talking to a brick wall. Would you understand better if I said "Purple Monkey Dishwasher Super Robot Dragon Fighter"?

wait that zelda game has worked for ages i completed it on my ds last month . its hardly a victory for the dstt . i am checking these posts everyday and each day i lose hope . there is more chance of skull collector completing one of his homebrew project than there is of us getting a extinfo.dat that works on any of the new sonic games

Hi all.

There is no "encrypted" ID. The ID is, apparently, a "special" AR CRC32. That is, the same algorithm that AR (and r4cee) uses but with the bytes [0x180-0x1FF] in header FORCED to 0x00 (Don´t ask me why, I don´t know). You can try it with an hexadecimal editor than can manage it, as example HexEdit:

Create a "custom CRC" using:
- width: 32 bits
- Polynomial: 4C11DB7
- Initial value: FFFFFFFF
- XOR out: 0
- Reflection: IN and OUT
(it´s like "standard" CRC32 in ZIP, RAR, etc, but XOR'ed with FFFFFFFF)

and apply to the first 512 bytes [0x000-0x1FF] of your ROM (= the header), with the bytes from offset 0x180 to 0x1FF changed to 0.

Also, you can get the ID creating a infolib entry for that particular ROM using the infolib_custom_kit_003.zip (http://boyakkey.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2009/02/infolibdat003-2.html), with a google's traduction, patience and several attempts you´ll get it working.

Hope this helps.

Saludos.
