At least they shown that the DSI has alittle more power than the DS. MP3 and JPG decoding looks fast.

You have to understand that this is NOT the "next" DS, this is just slightly redesigned and "improved" DS Lite for people who don't play GBA games, but want something new and refreshing..
DS 2 will probably be completely different handheld, much stronger than this one etc. but this, this is just new edition of the current one..noone is forcing you to buy it!

DeMoN = 100% agree. But really looking at the DSi and seeing the actual cpu capabilities of the DS I don't understand why nobody so far has made a decent video player. MS 1.71 still lags when scrolling songs while listening, and movies at 24fps have to sacrifice vertical res.

Looks good to me, more "now-a-days" then the NDSL, I would like a DS2 but they don't need to make a new one because they have no real competitor (I like the PSP but it's sales are no where as good as the DS) and the catalog of good games on the DS is huge.. to me they don't need a new handheld just yet.. I'll get this when it hits UK shores

Meh. None of that crap looks like it's particularly relevant to gaming. Nintendo is moving farther and farther away from making good game systems with games that have deep, involving gameplay. They just want to make toys now.

Now, in 4-5 months, the PSP 4000 will come out with a camera...

I'm happy as hell with my DSPhat... fuck the lite, fuck the DSi... The only "factory" item left in my DS is the motherboard and one speaker (had to replace one after my solder iron touched it)

I will keep my DSPhat until the day the the DS2 comes out... as long as it can play games, it's fine... I have a GBA flash cart, 2 DS flash cards, and all the emulators I need... nothing the DSi can do that I cant do on my Phat, minus the photo TAKING... there are apps out there for music playback, photo editing, and all that... so bite me Nintendo... work on something NEW, not just tossing a camera in everything!

Whats with all the hate of the DSI? I think its going to be pretty cool, mabye not at the start, but later on with the erm, DSware? Really? I just want it for the new animation program and web browser that they packaged it with. The animation tool, because it allows you to use the camera and take a picture of what you want to draw, so that it doesnt come out with horrible recreations of mario/whoever your drawing, and the web browser, because i dont care if its the fastest or greatest, i just would like to be able to stay in my bed on a cold day, since well wrapping your self with a cover doesnt work too well when your moving your arms.
And Zidane, i actually also like the DS Phat a lot more than the DS lite, to me it just feels a lot more better, overall. i can care less if i can fit it into my pocket.
