I use AVG + Malwarebytes

I dont know how to use a firewall like comodo but I do have a router with built in firewall. I did installed comodo but there are problems in the network so it's a no-no for now.

as long as you run MBAM and combofix once a moth, you'll have no worries. AVG is just my blocker. the real treatment lies in MBAM and combofix with DDS as initial setup

I monitor the network here so I assume we are less targeted by hackers.

you'll learn a lot in the website I gave. Theyre nice but they require a good topic and a good set of discussions like FULL ENGLISH with periods and commas
Really? My Mom Runs AVG though but i heard it Doesnt catch many Viruses however i do Run MBAM and SAS plus Threatfire.I dont think Combofix works on Window 7...Does it? and Thsnks i check the Site Out and Register ^^
True that. I used to have AVG, and I had a few viruses that it couldn't catch.

I switched to Avira, and there you go, problem solved. The virus went away, but everytime a virus was detected, I got bothered by the beeping noise and didn't know how to disable it so I switched to the avast! home edition.

I am using avast! 5 pro, but am planning on going back to avast! 4.8 pro for my own reasons =]

Security Essentials and learn a little about Windows firewall; that is all you need. Security Essentials is free and doesn't bother you like a lot of the others. I was an avast and AVG user but Security Essentials removes the bloat and I have had zero false positives.
Does that Really Protect you Completly? Its kinda hard to belive?
It got some pretty alright scores on the last AV Comparatives test. The other ones like Nod32 and Kaspersky cost money, though Nod32 is fairly easy to pirate if you know the website to get free keys every so often.

Also, you can get Comodo Firewall rather than use Windows Firewall if you plan to use MSE.

i dont mind Spending Money for a good Internet Security though so Kaspersky + Comodo Firewall right?

I've been using Avast for a long time but I'm getting sick of it's false positives (File Deleted: keygen.exe - Suspected Trojan/KEYGEN... wow) but I've recently switched to NOD32 and I love it! No false positives so far!

I have never got that on Avast!

@Princess Rozalin, lolno its not unstable.

If we're talking about anti-virus then Comodo isn't that great for that feature. However I use it simply as a software firewall and think it's great!

Comodo (firewall only) + Nod32 is a good combination. Otherwise I'd just use MSE + Comodo firewall.

Why I don't have defense+ activated. Too annoying for my daily usage. Windows UAC is enough prompting for me.

So Disable it?

I have to recommend Microsoft Security Essentials.

I was recently paying a premium for Norton Anti-Virus and then switched to Kasperky for the trial when I didn't have the money to renew my subscription to Norton. When the trial expired, I was still short on cash so I tried Microsoft Security Essentials. I've found it to waste less processing power then my previous protection softwares and I've also found it to be at least just as (maybe even more) secure. Best of all, it's completely free. It sounds too good to be true, especially coming from Microsoft, but it really is the best protection software out there hands down. Since it's free, I recommend you at least try it out before considering paying for protection software.

AVG is, I think, a blocker. It blocks new threats and I dont think it can erase any virus. But im glad I have AVG. If you're already infected, I suggesr MBAM, Combofix, Super Antispyware and an online kaspersky scan in order. The website I gave will probably give you similar instructions.

But be warn. YOU MUST USE PROPERLY TITLE AND PROPER GRAMMER. lol
