Do R4's for regular DS's work on the new 3ds xl?

r4i gold sdhc 2016 with ysmenu is the greatest you can get for the price.
with cfw you can get ANY CARD but without only recent ones

Try to get a firmware of 10.5 or lower. The newest firmware that nintendo just updated is 11.0. All hacks and Exploits currently on 11.0 firmware are patched. For your information, the last firmware was 10.7, Nintendo skipped 10.8 and 10.9. 10.6 and 10.7 requires ocarina of time or cubic ninja to hack the 3ds whereas 10.5 or lower, you can hack it with out those 2 games. Hacking the 3ds involves downgrading your 3ds to 9.2 firmware. This allows, custom firmware to be installed and it essentially jailbreaks your 3ds allowing installation of pirated 3ds roms in the form if cia on your 3ds sd card. So ideally, you want to look for a 3ds with 10.5 or lower firmware . if you want, you can buy any new 3ds xl from best buy or retail store, you're guarantee that the 3ds will be under 9.9 firmware unless it's refurbished, used/returned 3ds from another customer. Makes sure it's sealed
