Homebrew New 3ds XL downgrade Question

So I pre ordered the New Pikachu 3DS XL and I have to sell my already Modded new 3ds xl to pay it off since the New 3ds just had a system update what system ver will the new pikachu one be on? I know no one really knows for sure but just want a honest opinion

That's the saddest part too, I ordered one and I fear it'll be on 11.3, I don't trust myself with hardmodding things ever since I made a psp battery explode when I was like 13

How did you make it explode?

You should be more careful. Anyway, if it was made before feburary it should be okay. Also make sure is not used, unless you can verify is not been updated. Most people will try to get rid of used systems with such reasons including bans as well so be careful when buying used systems.

I wasn't careful when making my pandora battery xD
As for the DS getting it new

Just to clarify if it comes on stock 11.3 a hardmod won't mean you'll be able to downgrade it

I have the Japanese version! Since that one came out Nov 2016, the firmware pre-loaded on mine was 11.10. So there's a chance that the USA release might turn out as 11.20 instead.

Someone here was saying that it takes like 1-2 months for nintendo to start shipping systems with latest firmware 11.3, i was one of the people who bought a N3DSXL during bestbuy restock, it got backordered, came today with 11.3..... So that was obviously not the case for me. They don't even factory seal 3ds's anymore, box can literally be opened without any force.

Well I was told that the pika one will be on 11.2 since Gamestop and other places already have the systems in there warehouse way before the 11.3 update

The n3dsxl i got was dual tn along with all recent 2ds's i bought. I would be shocked if new batches came with any ips

Maybe some sneaky G$ employee will be so kind as to leak info on screens and FW with serials?

i really wasn't happy about my N3DSXL coming without a seal. Makes me feel like they were all checked for ips or updated.

I'm one of those people who hoards all the Nintendo goods--boxes, manuals, sleeves, etc,. I was so scared of ruining the box on my LOZ:LBW 3DS XL, but glad there was no seal on the LOZ:H LE. Even my Amiibo are opened so everything looks like it could go back on the store shelf.

That would be funny in a sad way if G$ updated every N3DS XL to 11.3, then sent back all the IPS systems.
