Testing this out with a 128GB SanDisk card, I haven't really noticed any increased speeds like the 2TB video that was only 4-5 seconds. I am also seeing some issues with mods that load files from the card, Smash NEOS crashed upon loading a stage.

will that be added? because ill use it all the time if so!
also thanks for replying!
Let me try to implement it.

is this....safe to use now?...
I haven't received any report of SD card corruption until now (and hopefully never in the future).

If you disable the patch (reject to apply the patch on boot) does it still crash?

no way to use this without a custom luma build, maybe a plugin ?
Currently only way to use this patch is to use my custom luma or Nexus3DS (disabled by default, enable in advanced config) v0.3.0 or later.

I wonder if it would be possible to reuse GodMode9's free space calculation (which is noticeably faster than Nintendo's code) during pre-boot, disable Nintendo's from running, and write the correct value in memory where Nintendo's would.
I got the PR for this, however it was not faster☠️

Oh boy! my idea! yay!
v1.3 is here!

  • v1.3 (beta version) (based on Luma3DS v13.4)
    • Added free space probing using fatfs (runs only on explicit user request).
      • You can trigger it by Luma3DS menu -> System configuration -> Recalculate free SD space on next boot.
does the massive warning show up every boot still?
also thanks so much!

also what other issues may there be? it seems real stable to me!

You can look at bottom screen to learn how to hide it.

Since this patches kernel, I can't rule out this may cause problems such as data corruption when SD is running out of capacity (though I never received such report so far).
