Hello guys,

I've been having strange issues with a New 2ds XL.
To make it Quick, it boots but has no display nor backlight on the screen. It's not software related, because when i change the topscreen for a New working one, it flashes then shuts off.

My question is simple ; what is required to plug on the board for a New Nintendo 2DS XL to boot?
I'd say battery (obviously), top screen, and bottom screen (probably that only the power for the backlight would work?)
Does anyone have an idea if something else is required ? Like cameras maybe?

For exemple, i know that for the old 3DS XL, the necessary components are : topscreen, 3d/sound ribbon, bottom screen backlight power flex, and wifi card. Same for classic Old 3DS.
I think it's the same for New 3DS and new 3DS XL without the wifi card as it's directly on the board.
For old 2DS i think only the screen is necessary, and maybe the wifi board for the versions that have one.

If anyone knows, it would help me a lot in my diagnostic lol

Thanks by advance guys

Most likely, since it is the case for N3DS systems.
And don't forget about the sd card reader, a failing or dead sd card reader will simply not allow the system to power on at all.
The cameras aren't mandatory for a 3DS or new 3DS to boot
I'll look at the SD card reader but it's been the same issue on 2 boards and the SD reader is directly soldered on the board on this model so idk i don't think that I have 2 faulty SD readers, chances are low... I think it's something else unfortunately but imma try to see if anything is wrong with those

If the screens flicker, the speakers make a popping noise, and the system powers down, then one of the ribbon cables could be loose.
If after double-checking and making sure the cables are all connected properly, and it still does not boot, then one of the ZIF connectors could be broken. Unfortunately, if that's the case, you'll probably have to install some new connectors to replace the offending ones.
However, if that's the case, please share some images of the board/connectors here, so we can verify whether or not they are broken.

If you have some soldering skills you can solder some resistors in order to trick the 2ds xl into booting with only the lower screen, so it can be used as some sort of test. Here's some images of someone doing that with the 2ds xl

Edit: You could also salvage the backlight and solder cables like in one of the photos
