Is Dark and Light version kind of like the Zelda Oricale games? Completely different games but are tied together?

If they are I think i might get Light version as well and stick that on my cart.

yes they are just like Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, 2 completely different games that tie together (and certain scenes and parts of the game tie together especially well)
