Hacking Netflix WAD Question

So I was searching for a Netfilx WiiWare WAD file, and in one search, I found it. The thing is, I'm not sure if it is the real one. I there any possible way to test this WAD out before installing it into my Wii (I don't want to take any chances).

Not that I know of. Just install it properly (with a disc I believe) if you want to be certain. If you're still going for WAD, get yourself either BootMii as boot2 or Priiloader, so if you brick (from banner brick most likely), you can boot back into the Homebrew Channel, launch the WAD Installer and un-install the WAD.

Pretty sure it is free, which is why I told him to install it officially (though I didn't know it was on the Shop Channel until now).

Problem with it would be since you need a connection to netflix server 24/7 to use the channel. Theyd be able to easily find and block you.

and on an off topic note. Robotic Buddys icon makes me want a wii in transformers 3 to turn into a decepticon

Yep. The channel is free, but you need a Netflix subscription or it won't work.

So far there is not a way to "hack" to channel to get a free account, I mean really if that was possible I think Netflix would shutdown the Wii service till they could get a new channel out. Imagine the bandwidth that they would have to pay for if all the "hackers" got free accounts. I know you do need to link your Wii to your account before you can activate it. On a more positive note, one can get an account and share it with others and split the bill (this is prolly against the TOS, and is limited to 6 devices).

we went thru this whole conversation when the NetFlix Disc came out and the ISO got dumped. you have to have a subscription, END OF STORY.

good news is the WAD was released but its also free from the shop channel (gotta update shop channel tho).
