Homebrew NES Emulator .sav to VC

Hello, everyone!
So, I was really proud of myself for getting to the final level in the original Legend of Zelda. But, it was all on PC.
Now, I'm putting all Zelda games on my o3DS via VC Injections. The problem is, I really struggled with the NES difficulty the first time, and I am not willing to do it again. Is there a way to import my NES Emulator .sav file to my o3DS' VC? I have of course Homebrewed my 3DS. I am currently on the latest firmware (11.9.0-42E).
I hope this is a clear sketch of the situation, otherwise, feel free to ask things.

I haven't tried NES saves yet, but Checkpoint should do the trick.

The emulator I have saves to .sav files, while checkpoint has a folder with 3 .dat files. Is there a way to convert this?

Absolutely, just rename the ones from your PC emulator.
