I've found three different ROMs (two 512KB, one 211, two were modified to include an address near the end of the dummy data, one 512 was not modified from what I can tell) and all of them cause NesterJ 1.12 Plus 0.61RM to crash (two do it after the title, one does it on load).

Is there an NES emulator for the PSP that can play this game properly?

i just used nester on the pc and made a save state at the character creation screen. then used nesterJ to load it. working fine after that.

I'm using NesterJ 1.1beta2 (on a PSP Go with fw6.2 and the HBL) and it works flawlessly.

You could try FCEU-PSP. It's not the worst.

Okay, I tried loading a save state from NesterJ (not the original Nester) and it works, but the graphics are completely garbled on the naming and text intro screens... and when it gets to the gameplay the house looks fine, but the sprites are still all fucked.

Guess I'll use the 1.1beta2 and transfer a save from it.

EDIT: Nevermind, you're referring to the 1.13 beta (as that's what adds support for the HBL), and though it doesn't have as many features as the standard one, I'm quite willing to sacrifice the ability to rewind and mirror the display in order to get better game compatibility. ^^

Yes. It seems in my haste I made a typo.

I started using the rewind as a crutch I think, so it's good that I am forced not to use it (until TN-A comes out anyhow).

I do like that mirror display though. And the sepia palette is petty!
