Can someone please tell me on what I need to do in order to play ps3 backups because I have just got updated it to 3.41FW and now stuck of needing help

I don't understand I thought its jailbroken when you update the FW to 3.41 ?

You need to boot it with a jailbreak usb device everytime you want to use backup and homebrew. check stickies
