What do you mean by 'national costumes'? Military/police uniforms & stuff like that?

You need to speak to an southern Italain, a Sicilian and they live in sicily. Google Sicilian culture and you will find heaps. If not they get some books on sicily. Sicily is where true italain culture lies, in the north of italy its all that Gucci, Armani ...
