I'm looking for any kind of info on Italian national costumes (no, not Armani or Gucci) and their history.
In English please! If you have any links, I'd be glad to see them.

Surfing on Google just results on 100% GU.CCI FOR 5.$ A P.IECE BUY NOW!!! spam ...
    Thanks!

There's no good translation for it ... for example, Bavarian national costumes:

I think the phrase you might be looking for is "traditional costumes"

You need to speak to an southern Italain, a Sicilian and they live in sicily. Google Sicilian culture and you will find heaps. If not they get some books on sicily. Sicily is where true italain culture lies, in the north of italy its all that Gucci, Armani ...

Found this with Google under "Italian ethnic dress".

You could also try "national dress", "traditional clothing", "peasant clothes", "noblemen clothes", etc. etc.
