Gaming Need some help

I got my wii used in gamestop along with xenoblade, and just because i wanted to play xenoblade lol.
Played fine for about a month or so, then when i turned it on it stopped showing the press a to continue in the health and safety screen, and i have not idea what happened.
Never hacked it or anything too, also dont think that i installed any updates.
The wii controller connects and i used the savemefrii gc controller thing and it says 4.3u
No idea what to do to fix it so if any one could please help.

Does the controller sync? I'm guessing BT module is dead.

Ye it syncs, what if i replace the flat battery that i discovered? maybe thats the problem
also i can turn on and turn off wii with the controller
