Hacking Need help with CFW

I'm not sure why, but my 4.2 3ds in cfw cannot use the local multiplayer option in any games with download play(Not the download play feature, just local multiplayer in general). Other games with local multiplayer and no download play option work fine though.​

Games like mario kart 7, mario open tennis, kirby's triple deluxe, and yoshi's new island will allow me to enter local multiplayer, but it will not connect and will freeze upon exiting(pressing b to go back to main menu).​

I have deleted everything, formatted my sd card, and reinstalled cfw, but the problem still persists.​

I've already asked this question in 3ds noob paradise, but I haven't received a response.​

Did you ask in the official cfw support thread? Call it a hunch but I think you might find your answer there.

You said something about patched roms, but the cia files I have are fine. They have been tested and working by others.

And I do not see y people with the knowledge to help me here cannot just give me a quick answer and y I have to ask elsewhere again.
