Gaming need help transfering 3DS to another 3DS

Ok so... i hawe this 3DS classic with 7.0 something firmware and i'm selling it so i can buy 3DS XL with 4.5 FW so i can use Gateway on it and also i would like to hawe all my things from old 3DS to XL.

Now the thing is i cant transfer it directly with wi-fi (i assume thats how its done)

Can i for example sawe 3DS transfer on PC and than transfer it back to new XL.

And also, will that NOT updare my new XL to firmware of old 3DS, because old is on 7.0fw

And better question...do i really need to transfer??

Wrong section, and all transfers must be connected to the internet, and they will update both systems to the current firmware. There are no "offline" transfers at this time.

you might be able to transfer to a correctly set up emuNAND, but I'm not sure. That might mean that losing emunand files = stuff gone though, I'm not sure how it works.

why should i transfer anyway? i mean do i really need that while using Gateway?

Given all the talk about Gateway bricking consoles, it's probably a very bad idea to even try a transfer to the fakenand.

Plus, Gateway talk really doesn't belong in this section.

in order to transfer, you must connect each device to internet , and both 3DS must be on the last update
so, the 3DS XL must be on 7.1 , and the old 3DS also must be on 7.1
