Hacking need help setting up gateway 3DS exploit.

Hello everybody,
I currently need some help as I am trying to understand how to downgrade from 9.2 and installing the exploit.I find most instruction on the internet a little confusing and a little outdated.

My old 3DS is currently on 9.2.In order to downgrade i must put the downgrade file and the latest launcher(is it 3.5.1 Beta?)
Then i go to the website go.gateway-3ds.com,launch the gateway menu,then I backup my sysnand,copy it in my computer,then go back to the website.
Now do I choose to Downgrade now?
After donwgrading my 3DS should be in 4.XX.
Do i need to put the blue card now? or should I put the red card? I want to be able to use the DS profil exploit.
I am unsure as in what step i must follow.In don't want my 3DS to be bricked or something.for now I haven't done anything yet.I want to be sure.

I can't help you with your actual problem, but why not set up rxtools on autoboot, and have all your games as installed CIAs? You could then just use the browser exploit if you want to use your gateway card to try out a .3ds game quickly.

Hello Quantumcat, the thing is I already bought a gateway flashcard,so I'm trying to play games with it with the ds exploit.I'm not too sure about the steps to follow
My first question was about the file in need to put in the 3DS sd card in order to downgrade.
I'm sure someone will be able to help my confusion.

After entering GW menu First time you did SysNAND backup. Great.
Copy created NAND.bin to PC and make sure that you won't delete it. Make it save.
To do downgrade you need DG file with the same region as console in SD card inserted in 3DS. Look for in in download section at GW website.
In GW Menu goto Downgrade Console, press B, press START to start DG file veryfication and to proceed downgrade.
STARTING VERYFICATION - 1st step, 2min.
DOWNGRADING CTR. Wait ~5min.
Downgrade COMPLETE
Congrats.

Press A to back to GW menu.
Press Down on D-pad and B to shutdown console.
Power on and check FW in System Settings.
Install DS profile exploit with blue card.
Done.

After that you can Format Emunand.

PS Check MD5 checksum every downloaded file to prevent failure.

By the way should i downgrade with or without the gateway card,I ordered the card,but i should receive it tommorow.Should I wait or is it okay to do without it?
After downgrading,should I use the Blue card to install the exploit?

So I've read the manual...tell me if I'm wrong but is this the correct order?
1-insert red card with latest launcher
2-Go to the website
3-Update red card to latest firmware
4-Backup Sysnand and copy to computer
5-Donwgrade to 4.5
6-go back to gateway menu
7-Format Emunand
8-Update Emunand via parameter option

In the end the blue card is useless,no? and will i be able to use the DS profil exploit or do i need to do something else?

5b backup your SD card if you have any content you don't want to lose

6-go back to gateway menu

7-Format Emunand

7b shutdown and restore your SD if you need to

8-Update Emunand via parameter option

8b do this by booting gateway mode and going to system setting ensure it says GW3D before your firmware version and go to system update do not exit system settings

then unlink your Nand's by removing your SD card and doing a system format.

Yes. Copy lanucher.dat (3.5.1) and DG file to SD card. Put it to 3DS.

If you want to use the blue card to play DS game after you have everything setup you can boot Gateway sysnand mode use devmenu.3ds on the red card and install the bluecardfix.cia this will let you play DS games.

If you dont format with the SD out like described your Sysnand and Emunand will be linked this will give you a.lot of issues ranging from saves being shared and CIA's having to constantly be unwrapped every reboot.

correct while it says GW3D after formatting for Emunand do it in system setting not through a prompt or eShop this will update your Sysnand.

You might have to reinstall the DS profile exploit (can't remember I don't have an Old 3DS anymore) but that shouldn't be a problem as the browser is still a valid entry point so you can simply reinstall it.
