Hacking Need halp, DSi Updated - Flash cart not working

my brother was playing my dsi and for some unexplainable reason he updated the dsi to the latest software
since then, I have not been able to use my r4i gold cart.

I get the messege:
an error has occured
press and hold the power button to turn the system off.
please refer to the nintendo dsi operations manual for detail

how can i fix this?
