Hacking Need Advice: 6.2 OFW // AMS 0.9.3

If i have zero intention of ever playing online - is it fine to boot to normal FW then update to the latest Switch FW - 9.0.0, and then update my AMS to 0.9.4?
Will it make my current NSP installs stop working if i do this?

Update to 8.1.0, stay away from 9.0.0 for now if you don't want headaches.
