Maybe the cards don't work due to nintendo anti-piracy fixes but also tht without the gba slot the cards cannot understand the working of the DSi
By the way... the pic about region free means tht an original card for U or E or J etc will work with this chinese version of the DS? Just confirming

I wonder if one of those old PassCards with original games in them would work... If they do, the whitelist thing is confirmed.

Seeing that there's no Slot-2 to boot, the only way to confirm them working would be seeing if they boot to their splash screen.

IF they have a splash screen... Which I can't honestly remember

ahtin is very respectable member, and a strong name in the scene..He proven himself many many times, so, you should really believe him if he says that those flashcarts failed!

You have absolutely no need to test them.

everyone knows who ahtin is and trusts his word. Nobody has any clue who you are and you tell him he's wrong. Sorry but I think we'll rely on ahtins info.

Hmm, a choice of a new firmware and being able to use 16gb (largest available) SD cards but all homebrew blocked (so making SD capacity a moot point) or continuing as we are, with homebrew being able to use 16gb cards anyway.

I know which I and most others would choose.

i do remember ahtin being accused on the R4 firmware bricking news but in the end we know R4 are just lazy or something but surely ahtin keeps cool towards the end is very reliable plus the screens show how lucky he is to get one though unlucky for the flashcarts not to work
I wonder if they changed the internal arrangement and disassembly for the internal works since this is very different from the previously explained guide

Since it's much more like the Wii, maybe modchips that can be soldered will be developed or a "Twilight Hack" of some sort, making it possible to play GBA games from the Nintendo Store. On the side note, the ABXY buttons look hecka flat...

Some flashcards are at least being recognized by the DSi.. maybe those can work with a firmware update..
