What is PocketNES?
PocketNES is a NES emulator for Gameboy Advance. In other words, it lets you play Nintendo 8-bit games on a Gameboy Advance.
PocketNES is written by loopy and flubba and started out as an assembler port of loopynes emulator for DOS.

Is it good? What about the speed?
Is it good? It's bloody marvellous. And, yes, PocketNES does emulate NES games on the GBA in full speed, as incredible as it sounds. It can actually do quite a few games at twice the normal speed in accelerated mode.

What features does PocketNES have?
PocketNES version 9 is loaded with the following goodies:
# Emulates the NES in full speed
# Emulates all sound channels
# Emulates some of the NES mappers (more info)
# Link play support for up to 4 players, single cart and multi cart (more info)
# Scaled mode: shrinks the NES display down to fit in the GBA screen, sprite scaling optional (more info)
# Unscaled mode: the NES display is in full size cut off by the GBA screen (more info)
# State and SRAM saving support, up to 56kbyte, about 10-20 compressed states
# Sleep mode, auto sleep after 5 minutes, start+select to wake up
# Autofire
# Accelerated mode and slow motion
# 1P/2P Controller switchable
# Sprite following in unscaled mode. (creator) (more info)

Thanks for your help Verocity but I don't feel like adding a mirror link to all of the homebrew in the database

at least not now.
And the speed is fine here (well except when we host big files like the pack I did earlier... we really need to set a speed limit, otherwise the 10 mbyte/s are sucked terribly fast).

Oh and also, PocketNES is for GBA, only this is the NDS database

Feel free to start a GBA database.

yeah I got it to work but I couldn't transfer a file, I believe it's because DSFTP was unable to write a file on my DSX.
what problem do you have? it doesnt boot? you cant connect?
it seemed pretty intuitive to me...
make sure your WFC settings are working properly (change your WFC settings using a game like Mario kart ds..)

Is there any way to get SnezziDS to work on the bottom screen? My top screen is cracked and I can only play touch screeen-specific games

Tried the old Snezziboy on GBA, but its speed and compatibility are so horrible compared to the DS version (played it a while back before my top screen busted). I guess I should just buy a top screen replacement, but that would mean I have to put off saving for my hydro grow room equipment =/
