okay i managed to update to 6.5 Luma just now. So i should be got to do a system update through settings without messing with the CFW

Well, the good news is, you already have a9lh, so, it should be safe; granted, you don't have a freak accident. If anything, you can definitely get help.

Sweet it worked i'm now on 11.2.0-35U anyway to speed up the boot up time?? It usually takes 30 secs to boot up into the main menu

I'd suggest moving emunand to sysnand...but it could be a little tricky. I haven't done it yet, but I just don't care. In that 10-30-second window, I clean my system with my official Nintendo cleaning cloth. Have to keep those ips screens clean.

30 secs? Too boot into Pokemon? Mine takes about 8-9 secs after the 3DS logo goes black. It may be because I set the N3DS CPU to "Clock+L2" in Luma Settings. You can try that out
Just hold select upon boot and you should see it as "New 3DS CPU"

I have just been into the Luma configuration screen. I'll try the CPU settings
He can't play online. Ctr-httpwn is of no use to him, as he is master-raced. Other than literally updating the game he wishes to play, there would be no nags, unless he went into 'friends', 'internet', or tries to play online.

I am able to play online now since i updated Luma and updated in system settings

Now my custom splash screens aren't working since i've updated
Open Luma settings on boot, turn Splash screens to either before or after payloads on. It's at the top of the Luma settings.
