I don't understand. Are you not running CFW already? If you are, why wouldn't you just get boot.3dsx from wherever you got it before? If you're not already running CFW, then you don't need anything on your SD card (and the initial CFW installation process requires many more steps than just putting those files on your SD card).Okay, so I guess I'll have to wait for my 3ds firmware version to be supported on https://smealum.github.io/3ds/ before being able to download the boot.3dsx file.
As I said before, while chkdsk may fix file system errors, it will likely leave you with partially-corrupted files that will just cause mysterious problems later down the line.However, repartitioning the card means losing all my games and such stuff so I'll use this as a last resort if I notice that "chkdsk" didn't fix all corruption.
