I have a Kiosk model n2DS XL Kiosk model.
Kiosk models will not power on without being plugged into a wall. So I have to have it plugged in at all times. I tried to do my search for a way to rewire this thing. I was able to find a link on to reddit of a someone who has a n2DS XL kiosk and cut a wire and supposedly fixed it. I was able to find the same wire in mine and I cut it. However this has made no change in how the device functions. It still will not stay powered on without being plugged in.

Does anyone have any other fixes for this? I'm okay with the idea if I have to solder anything. I have the technology lol.

I was able to find two images online. Image on left has the wire and is the kiosk model and the one on the right is a retail version. So in removing this wire should have fixed it but it didnt. Any other ideas?

Been a while but finally updating, Battery is receiving charge. Also we noticed that just below the wire in the picture there is 1 empty spot for a resistor, and 2 resistors next to in, meanwhile in image on the right there is 3 resistors.

So new question. Would we need to get our hands on another resistor and solder it? And if so what kind of resistor.

You may have to zoom in but there it is. The one on left is Retail version. The one on right is a zoomed in version of our Demo model.

How did the repair work? I have the same issue, so I am really interested in finding out more!
