My friend caught this computer virus called MyGig.com
Truth is, I can't find anything to help him about it.
    Any help?
He told me it cost $50 to fix the computer, so the virus was pretty bad

If it cost (past tense) $50 to fix the computer... does that mean he's already gotten rid of it? Or is there a popup saying "pay X to purchase this and get your computer fixed"?

mygig.com itself is an empty site (as in, the domain is available for purchase).

I'm pretty sure your friend was wrong about the name of the virus. There isn't (to my knowledge, and google search) a mygig.com virus.

Oh, but I SAW it go down!
It was a virus, not a website domain

Whatever, there is no virus by that name.
