Now I know you've read the title and I know what you're gonna say, the Wii U can't get a virus, at least not a computer virus, since it's a whole different OS, plus any USB Drive would be formatted anyways. I am aware of that.
My question is mostly about the type of virus itself, this is a flash drive I've just stopped using because it had one of those annoying viruses that'd replace files with .exe files with the same name so people would accidentally click them and run the infected executable. My concern is pretty much that, the possibility of the virus surviving the initial formatting and when in use, replacing an important file in the system with an incompatible file, obviously the Wii U won't be able to run a .exe file made to infect a computer, but again, I'm more worried about the act of deleting and taking on the name of another random file (or worse, infecting the SD card with all the homebrew stuff and doing the same there). I'd like to know if anyone has any knowledge on if there's any risk of that happening, or if it's pretty much guaranteed the virus won't even be able to do anything if it somehow manages to get past the initial formatting.
