That certainly got my wiimotes back in their normal order (older wiimote is 1, newer is 2)..

But still, none of my bakups are working..

Sooo agravating, we were playing them all earlier with nary a problem.. I have no idea what I've done..

Probably just bumped something loose.

Open it up and take a look at the connections.

I was having similar problems with my PIC. Turns out one of the wires I attached to the chip socket was too long and touching another or something like that. All I know is that I straightened the wire, gave it some heat, and now it's working a lot better.

Hmm, I wonder if I'm having a similar problem. I'm a little reluctant to open the system up again if I don't have to, but there really seems to be no logical reason for discs to be recognized half the time and not-recognized the other half.

I think after work I'll go pick up some better DVD-R's, and if those don't fix it I may have to pop the Wii open again. >___<

At least I know it's not my burner now. From what I've been reading burners make no difference what-so-ever, since they all burn ISO files the same way.

Although with my problem, it would usually work if I completely turned it off (held the power button for a few seconds) then let it sit for half a minute or so before inserting a game.

Just for anyone following this thread, I wanted to let you know that I picked up some Memorex DVD-R's at BestBuy yesterday, and now my games load up every time.

So despite the WiiKey being compatible with a ton of disc brands, apparently using Staples DVD-R's causes game recognition problems. Still they never had DRE's so I guess they're not all bad.

What kind of Staples DVDs are you using? I'm using the FUJIFILM03 8x kind, and they work fine with WiiFree for everything but DBZ.
