So my volume slider is broken on my blue 2DS. Is there any way to change my volume when I need to?

I believe the volume is 100% tied to the slider. You should check ifixit for a teardown guide to replace it, it shouldn't be too hard. The worst thing about the 3DS is the hinge that folds it shut, and you have a 2DS right? That's so much better...

Well, I once saw a Luma fork that lets you change the volume without the slider. But I did not use it because it was outdated.

If you don't feel comfortable about it, then don't. You can take it to a electronics/ phone repair shop and they should be able to fix. Imo: it doesn't seem that hard of a fix, just tedious, and you need the right tools. Good Luck with!
